Pre-Kindergarten is the official year of entry into Penrith Anglican College's Primary School.
The Pre-Kindergarten Program is based on the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and is also in line with the Early Years Learning Framework. The Program has been designed to thoroughly prepare children for Kindergarten the following year.
The pre-school years are characterised by activity, energy and readiness to learn and be enriched in an environment of guided inquiry based learning. The College aims to develop each child's full potential, ensuring they have positive feelings of self-worth and enthusiasm about their learning.
By the time the children enter Kindergarten, they are familiar with the whole College environment, making Pre-Kindergarten a stimulating, nurturing way to give children their start. The children are excited, not nervous about starting Kindergarten and look forward to a new teacher and more interaction with other children along with further opportunities to learn.
Penrith Anglican College Pre-Kindergarten is a safe, caring, enriched environment where children thrive in the structure of exciting learning experiences in small classes of 20 students taught by a fully qualified and experienced early childhood teacher and a qualified trained teacher assistant.
The Pre-Kindergarten program at Penrith Anglican College offers parents the option of 2 Day, 3 Day or 5 Day classes that cater to individual needs and interests and gives opportunities for creative expression.
The program includes:
- Christian Education lessons
