Parents and Friends make a world of difference

The Parents and Friends Association plays an important role in the life of Penrith Anglican College. Through events, volunteering, fundraising and practical support, the P&F helps families build relationships, serve together and make a positive contribution across the College.

Friend-raising. Fun-raising. Fundraising.

The work of the P&F can be understood through three key areas:

  • Friend-raising
Creating welcoming opportunities for parents and carers to connect, build relationships and feel part of PAC.
  • Fun-raising
Organising events and activities that bring joy to students and families, and help create shared memories across the College year.
  • Fundraising
Raising essential funds for resources, equipment and projects that directly benefit students and support College life.

Creating the moments that bring us together

The P&F supports a range of events and activities throughout the year, helping students, families and staff enjoy shared experiences across the College calendar. Examples include:

  • Annual Primary Disco
A highlight for over 500 Primary students, the Disco gives students the chance to enjoy a fun and memorable evening with music, entertainment and snack stalls.
  • Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Stalls
These much-loved stalls give students the opportunity to choose thoughtful gifts for their loved ones, with support from P&F volunteers and local PAC family businesses.
  • Sporting Carnival Support
The P&F adds to College carnivals by providing refreshments and treats for students, including Zooper Doopers at the finish line of the Primary Cross Country.
  • Athletics Carnival BBQ
The P&F helps fuel athletes, families and spectators through BBQs and snack stations at College carnivals. These events also provide opportunities to support student-led initiatives, including charity fundraising.
  • Meet & Greet Events
Orientation and ‘Meet & Greet’ events help families connect with one another and build relationships across the College community.

Small gestures. Big impact.

These P&F contributions help foster a culture of care, generosity and encouragement across the College.

  • P&F Pantry
During study periods and HSC exams, the P&F Pantry provides refreshments and snacks to support Year 12 students as they study at the College.
  • Staff Appreciation
The P&F recognises the dedication of College staff through gestures of appreciation, including snack stations in the Staff Common Room.
  • Student Encouragement
From sporting events to busy seasons in the school year, the P&F offers practical encouragement that helps students feel supported during key College activities.
  • Student-led Charity Support
The P&F helps encourage a culture of service by assisting student-led fundraising initiatives, including charity activities connected with College carnivals.

What P&F fundraising makes possible

Funds raised by the P&F help provide resources, equipment and projects that benefit students and enhance the College environment.

Past and recent contributions include:

  • Covered walkways
  • Covered bus bay shelter
  • Electronic signs at the College entrance
  • Classroom resources and equipment, including books, microscopes, cameras and laser cutters
  • Replacement of the soundboard in The Lighthouse Theatre
  • Custom-built BBQ trailer for College events and camps
  • Fundraising for classroom resources
  • Sports equipment and facilities like the long jump pit

Volunteers are our life support

The P&F relies on the generosity of parent and carer volunteers. Families can be involved in a range of ways, from helping at events and stalls to assisting with BBQs, carnivals, fundraising activities and community initiatives.

To volunteer at P&F activities on campus, parents and carers are required to:

  • Hold a current Working With Children Check
  • Complete the online PAC Volunteer Induction training (be sure to check the "P&F Community Events" box).

Parents and carers can also stay connected by joining the P&F mailing list or Facebook group.
