Deputy Principal

Permanent Full Time Commencing Term 1, 2025

Role Summary

Due to significant sustained growth across the College, the Deputy Principal, Pre-K to Year 12, is a newly created key leadership role at the College to support an expanding community of students and staff. Developed to support the Principal, this pivotal role involves strategic leadership and the day-to-day management of the entire school, from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. The Deputy Principal plays a key role in promoting the school's strategic vision, ensuring cohesion across academic, pastoral and co-curricular programs, fostering a positive learning environment. They work closely with the Principal, Heads of School and other senior leaders to oversee school operations, drive continuous improvement and support staff development. The role demands a strategic thinker with a strong commitment to Christian education, capable of leading with purpose, managing people effectively and contributing to the broader school community.

Director of Operations (P-12)

Full Time Permanent Commencing Term 1, 2025

Role Summary

The Director of Operations works collaboratively across the P-12 College with an understanding of the relevant organisational structures and of the needs of the various sections: Primary, Secondary, Co-curricular. The Director, in liaison with the Deputy Principal, manages the College operations so they are well-planned, compliant, communicated clearly and contribute effectively to a community environment that is characterised as calm, ordered, respectful, efficient, predictable yet innovative.

Director of Students (7-12)

Full Time Permanent Commencing Term 1, 2025

Role Summary

The Director of Students (7-12) is a vital member of the Secondary Leadership Team focussed on students’ wellbeing and welfare. The Director will provide leadership and oversight of the pastoral care, wellbeing/welfare and events involving all students in Years 7-12. The Director will contribute to the development of a positive school culture and functional student management processes that enable every student to learn and thrive within the College community.

The Director of Students (7-12) will model and facilitate effective wellbeing strategies and behaviour management practices to cultivate a learning environment in which a genuine sense of belonging, informed care and personal success are fostered for all Years 7-12 students.

Gifted & Talented Coordinator (7-12)

Role Summary

Penrith Anglican College seeks to build empowered learners. Our College Learning Culture equips our students across Pre-K to Year 12 to continually improve, achieve their best academic results and thrive in life beyond the College. The College aims to have the strongest HSC results in the LGA amongst non-selective schools. To these ends the Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator will seek to make Penrith Anglican College an even more attractive schooling option for Gifted and Talented students by: providing identification, tracking and support processes to properly care for these students and their learning; equipping teachers to extend the learning of these students as appropriate; and, ensuring continued co-curricular opportunities for these students to connect with other Gifted and Talented students and take part in learning enhancement experiences.

Head of Library Services

Role Summary

The Head of Library Services is an important role in supporting teaching and learning at Penrith Anglican College. Overseeing three Library collections, the Head of Library Services should be an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher Librarian with the experience and ability to creatively lead and manage the operations, resources and programs of both the Primary and Secondary Libraries to promote literature appreciation and research skills and ensure the effective delivery of information services. They will support staff to nurture and develop empowered learners who are reflective, relational, resilient and resourceful.

Role Summary

Mathematics Teachers are responsible for designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned with Penrith Anglican College Learning Culture, policies, and practices. They support students in developing their knowledge, understanding and skills in mathematics and working mathematically. Mathematics Teachers encourage mathematical thinking through questioning, communicating, reasoning, and reflecting and help students generalise, find connections, and think critically and creatively, using appropriate technology to support mathematical activity. Mathematics Teachers work as part of a team to nurture and develop learners who are relational, reflective, resilient, and resourceful. They are committed to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence. In addition to teaching and associated responsibilities, this position comes with a 4 period allocation for a combination of leadership responsibilities as suited to the skillset of the applicant and the needs of the Department.

English Teachers are responsible for designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned to Penrith Anglican College’s Learning Culture, policies, and practices. They develop student language and literature skills through activities involving speaking and listening, reading and writing, and viewing and representing. Through the teaching of English, teachers support students to learn about the power, value and art of the English language for communication, learning and enjoyment, as well as enable students to become confident communicators and critical and imaginative thinkers. English Teachers work as part of a team to nurture and develop learners who are relational, reflective, resilient, and resourceful. Executive Assistant to Head of Secondary

Role Summary

As part of the College’s overall commitment to the education of every child, the Executive Assistant will provide confidential, high-level administrative and secretarial support to the Secondary School. Role Summary

The Careers Advisor provides information and advice to help students explore their education and career options, create a resume, search for employment, apply for jobs and /or apply for further study. The Careers Advisor also supports students in their decision-making process by helping them to identify their strengths, interests and areas of opportunity. This role is also responsible for liaising with parents, teachers, employers, community agencies and training providers.
