Established in 1998, Penrith Anglican College seeks to nurture and develop empowered learners with strength of character who know and follow Christ and serve others. We are experiencing continued, strong enrolment growth across the College as we increase the number of streams in Primary and Secondary.

Permanent Full Time commencing Term 1, 2026
Role Summary
English Teachers are responsible for designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned with Penrith Anglican College Learning Culture, policies, and practices. They support students in developing their knowledge, understanding and skills in English. English Teachers encourage thinking through questioning, communicating, reasoning, and reflecting and help students generalise, find connections, and think critically and creatively, using appropriate technology to support learning. English Teachers work as part of a team to nurture and develop learners who are relational, reflective, resilient, and resourceful. They are committed to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence.

Role Summary

They develop student language and literature skills through activities involving speaking and listening, reading and writing, and viewing and representing. Through the teaching of English, teachers support students to learn about the power, value and art of the English language for communication, learning and enjoyment, as well as enable students to become confident communicators and critical and imaginative thinkers. English Teachers work as part of a team to nurture and develop learners who are relational, reflective, resilient, and resourceful. They are committed to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence.

Mathematics Teachers encourage mathematical thinking through questioning, communicating, reasoning, and reflecting and help students generalise, find connections, and think critically and creatively, using appropriate technology to support mathematical activity. Mathematics Teachers work as part of a team to nurture and develop learners who are relational, reflective, resilient, and resourceful. They are committed to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence. There is scope for an appropriately qualified candidate to be considered for an Assistant Head of Faculty role.

Head of PDHPE
Permanent Full Time commencing Term 1, 2026
Role Summary
The Head of PDHPE is a pivotal leadership role at the College, requiring leadership of curriculum initiatives, the development of teaching and learning processes and the management of PDHPE classes in the Secondary School. The Head of PDHPE is also responsible for the leadership of teaching staff, including supervising accreditation and professional development processes. Heads of Department work in close collaboration with the Director of Studies, Director of Teaching and Learning and other Heads of Department to actively contribute to the full life of the College.
The Head of PDHPE is also a classroom teacher (7-12) and is therefore responsible for nurturing students’ ability to learn, instructing them in curriculum requirements and supporting their academic and pastoral needs.
The College is fortunate to have a large gymnasium and fields for use in practical lessons.

PDHPE Teacher

Role Summary
PDHPE Teachers are responsible for designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned to Penrith Anglican College Learning Culture, policies, and practices. They support students in developing the skills, knowledge and understanding to critically engage with concepts related to health and physical activity. Adopting a variety of pedagogical approaches, PDHPE teachers foster collaboration, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills to support student learning. PDHPE Teachers work as part of a team to nurture and develop learners who are relational, reflective, resilient, and resourceful. They are committed to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence.

Science Teacher
Permanent Full Time commencing Term 1, 2026
Role Summary
Science Teachers are responsible for designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned to Penrith Anglican College Learning Culture, policies, and practices. This role will include teaching Stage 4 and Stage 5 mandatory Science and the ideal candidate will also be capable of teaching Stage 6 Biology, Physics or Chemistry.
